Recruits, researches, screens and refers job candidates for job openings; represents Cherokee Nation at job fairs, conferences, other related activities. Confers with staff and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills to effectively and efficiently fill job openings. Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting colleges, organizations, professional associations, Internet/media sites, and community job outreach programs.
Confers with Personnel staff and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills to effectively and efficiently fill job openings. Develops and maintains contact with schools, alumni groups, professional associations, and other public and private organizations to find and attract applicants. Develops recruitment programs to attract applicants to fill specific job openings. Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates. Initiates contact with potentially qualified candidates for specific job openings. Screens and refers qualified applicants to appropriate staff for review. Develops brochures and recruitment materials about the organization and its opportunities. Coordinates participation in, sets up display and represents the organization at career and job fairs. Coordinates and implements college recruiting initiatives. Makes public presentations at schools, organizations and job fairs regarding the organization and its opportunities. Conducts research and recommends new sources to attract qualified passive applicants. Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit applicants. Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit applicants. Prepares and submits an annual recruitment plan. Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants. Coordinates travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants. Projects yearly recruitment expenditures for budgetary control. Other duties may be assigned.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or other business related field; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
An additional two (2) years related experience in a related field.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software, Human Resource systems, Internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Will travel to job fairs.

Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Local and overnight travel required.
