Patrols an assigned area; enforces rules and regulations to safeguard life and property from accidental or malicious damage.
Observes grounds and buildings to detect suspicious activities or circumstances. Prepares reports and maintains security log. Confronts suspicious persons to inquire into the nature of their business at the location. Apprises persons of the rules and regulations governing their presence on center property and warns violators of the penalties for infractions. Calls law enforcement officials to report the presence of unauthorized persons. Apprehends persons suspected of minor violations to detain them until law enforcement officials arrive. Reports fire hazards, broken windows and other conditions affecting the security of the building to appropriate officials. Conducts monitoring of all smoke and Fire alarm systems to ensure they are operable, free and clear of obstruction. Other duties may be assigned.
No supervisory responsibility.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
